Dr Peter Hughes
Managing Director and CEO
Peter Hughes has had over 25 years of extensive international business experience in the development and management of complex, multi-faceted business functions and large scale organisations. Peter has held line management responsibilities in both publicly listed and private enterprises, and has previously initialised and founded a global health operating division for a major Australian public company. Peter is a globally recognised expert in the design, development and operation of primary, sub-acute and acute healthcare systems and infrastructure and is a sought after speaker and educator who holds undergraduate degrees in both environmental science and architecture and postgraduate qualifications including an MBA and a DBA.
Peter is the primary Founder of the business and will develop and implement the organisational strategy and assume the lead operational role (non-clinical) in the implementation and deployment of the Kikada Lane Dental support services offerings.
Ghazaleh Lyari is the Co-Head of Investments at the Australian Business Growth Fund (ABGF), and a member of ABGF’s Investment Committee. Ghazaleh’s career spans almost three decades, with a diverse set of experiences in the technology Industry, Investment banking on Wall Street and Silicon Valley, entrepreneurship, and in Private Equity, investing in and supporting SMEs across a broad range of industry sectors in Australia.
Ghazaleh graduated from the University of NSW with a Bachelor of Science – double majors in Computer Science and Physics. She subsequently obtained an MBA from The Kellogg Graduate School of Management, at Northwestern University, Chicago.
Ghazaleh is currently a director on the boards of Kikada Lane Dental and Aviation Training Holdings. She is also a National Ambassador for Heads Over Heels, a not-for-profit organisation supporting female entrepreneurs
Greg is a driven executive with an excellent commercial skillset. Greg has successfully managed ASX listed companies, private equity backed organisations as well as family owned enterprises. He has held executive level positions for the last 15 years with major companies including Mars Incorporated, Sakata Rice Snacks, Freedom Foods, and Dymocks Group. He has lived and worked in Australia, SE Asia and the USA. Greg is currently the CEO of Farm Foods a family owned business in the regional city of Geelong and is a non-executive Director of both Gateways Support Services, (a major NDIS service provider) and the Geelong Manufacturing Council. He is further the Executive Director of his own family Business ACMK Investments Pty Ltd.
Greg served as both Chair and head of Finance on a number of private school boards before relocating to the Bellarine in mid-2018. Greg has a strong passion for building great cultures, enterprise value and success. Greg holds territory qualifications in Education (DipT) from ACU in Melbourne.
Peter was one of the three core founders of the a2 Milk Company which grew from sales of $7m to $1.3B as the brand was globalised during his leadership over his 14-year tenure. His most recent position before resigning from the Company was CEO Asia Pacific. Prior to that role, Peter held senior marketing and sales roles for Gillette and Colgate Palmolive in Australia and Asia, as well as his involvement with Freedom Foods Group Limited as General Manager. Peter’s interests are in the development of high growth companies.
Carl Burroughs has been at the forefront of dental business development in Australia since his entry into the profession in 2001. His marketing company Integrated Dental Marketing (IDM) has helped hundreds of dental practices achieve their goals through proactive marketing plans. Carl has personally advised many of the dental corporations and was one of the original founders of Dental Partners (now Maven Dental) in 2007. Carl and his team at IDM also assist many dental supply companies to promote their products and services to the profession.
Carl is the founder of Marketing Dentistry Institute, which has presented world-renowned speakers such as Dr Bill Dorfman, Dr Howard Farran, Dr Mark Costes and others. Plus today, Carl also owns his own dental practices, which he uses to test new marketing strategies in a real-world environment. In 2016 Carl’s practice in Queensland grew by an astonishing 200% in the face of stiff competition and a saturated local marketplace.
Carl is a columnist for Australasian Dentist magazine and has authored over 80 papers on the topic of dental marketing and practice management as well as ghostwriting for others within the profession.
Director of Operations & Human Resources
Kelli Hughes is a highly experienced Operations and HR professional who has worked in Australia and the UK. Kelli worked in recruitment for many years in a large Melbourne based entity, before forming a number of her own recruitment and HR advisory entities including Kelete Pty Ltd and People in Practice which specialises in the Health Services area. Kelli was the Senior HR Advisor for a major Corporate Dental aggregator who authored and established the entire human resources platform that allowed the business to operate successfully. More recently, Kelli has transformed the operations of an independent tertiary education provider.
Kelli will oversee and provide operational and HR advisory services to Kikada Lane, from managing contractual compliance (employment contracts, policies and procedures) through to practice improvement via educational training and dental accreditation. Kelli will ensure your practice transitions appropriately, and will provide high levels of support in all back-office operational and administrative functional areas with an emphasis on reporting and key staffing matters. One of Kelli’s primary focus areas is to cultivate excellence through maximising an individual’s potential and creating happy safe workplaces.
Morris Sarabi (DDS, MBA)
Business Development Manager NSW
A qualified dentist with extensive experience in business development, sales, marketing, and process improvement techniques.
Morris’ role is primarily to support all NSW based practices in areas such as patient attraction, expansion of service, procurement efficiencies, marketing implementation, recruitment, education, and training.
Head Office Management Team
Gauri Paranjpe (ACMA, CGMA)
Gauri is responsible for assisting the Financial Controller to prepare data for monthly management reports and overseeing the payroll, accounts payable and bank reconciliation functions of the business.
Gauri has more than 15 years of management experience.
Accountant Payroll and Accounts Payable
Deborah is part of the team responsible for the implementation and management of all payroll and accounts payable/receivable activities along with reconciliation services within the business. Deborah is one of the main points of contact at head office for suppliers and dental practices to ensure payment of invoices and for payroll queries.

Nikolina is responsible for the management of all payroll, accounts payable/receivable activities along with reconciliation services within the business alongside her team. Nikolina is one of the main points of contact at head office for suppliers and dental practices to ensure payment of invoices and for payroll queries. Nikolina has formal qualifications in economics and business and banking finance.
Marketing Project Coordinator
Liam has recently joined the business to support the Director of Marketing in orchestrating and delivering promotional campaigns, digital communicational platforms, SEO and PPC strategies at both Practice and a Group-wide level. Liam has formal qualifications in journalism and is adept at constructing and managing all forms of written and digital media.
Clinical Advisory Committee
Kikada Lane Dental will establish a Clinical Advisory Committee to provide advice to the Board on clinical practice, advancements in treatment and technology, training and education and patient growth opportunities.
